A Street Steeped in History
From "The Ward" to the Financial Heart of Canada, Bay Street has transformed over nearly two centuries. We are proud to be part of its next chapter.
The Bay Street Story
Originally known as "Bear Street" due to frequent bear sightings, it was renamed Bay Street in 1797. It has since grown into the undisputed economic engine of Canada.
Our location at Bay & St. Joseph sits on land that was once part of "The Ward," a historic neighbourhood that welcomed waves of immigrants—Jewish, Italian, and Chinese—who helped build modern Toronto.
Today, the Bay Street Corridor is a unique blend of this rich history and modern vitality. Just steps from your appointment, you can see 19th-century architecture standing proudly beside 21st-century skyscrapers.
